Adobe Photoshop is one of the oldest raster graphics editors. It was developed in 1988 by Adobe Inc for windows and Mac Operating System initially. Functionality
Adobe photoshop composes the raster image in multiple layers which support multiple masks, Alpha compositing, and several color models including CIELAB, CMYK, RGB, spot color, and duotone. Adobe Photoshop supports PSB(Photoshop Big) and PSD(Photoshop Document) file format to support all these features.
Plugins
Photoshop has the advantage that its functionality can be extended by add-on programs called Photoshop plugins. Some of them are developed by Adobe such as Adobe Camera Raw. Adobe also involves third-party companies to develop plugins for Photoshop. Some of the most famous plugins developed by multiple third-party companies are the Color correction plugin, Special Effect effect plugin, and 3D effects plugin.

Versions
There are a total of 21 versions developed and published by 2020. Photoshop was initially released with version no-till 2003. There are seven versions from 1998 to 2003 after that it creates brand name Creative Suit and then all the version from 2003 onward was publish with CS number. The released year of CS areas CS was released in 2003, CS2 was released in 2005, CS3 was released in 2007, CS4 was first 64 bit released in 2008, CS5 was released in 2010, and CS6 was released in 2012. then Adobe change CS(Creative Suite) to CC (Creative Cloud) and released the first CC version in 2013. It was the 14th version in total. CC2014, CC2015, CC2017, CC2018, CC2019 were released in years as their name suggested. The final version was released in 2020.
